[It felt unbelievable, that the Reaper threat was over. Even more so unbelievable that the Reapers were helping rebuild. Whatever Shepard did on the Crucible changed everything. Her people were thriving. Immune systems building, more so than even with Legion's improvements caused. Rannoch was starting to look like a home again.

While she had said everything she wanted to Garrus before that final battle, she had been separated from him in the end. He had followed Shepard as far as he could, and stayed with the Normandy as it fled Earth when the Crucible fired. She, on the other hand, had been on the ground, fighting for her life while she prayed to the ancestors to keep both her Commander and Garrus safe.

The aftermath was chaos. Being on the Admiralty Board now meant she had to step up and go be with her people. She stayed as long as she could, wanting to find the two most important people in the world to her, but with no signs of them in the rubble, she had to step away. She had to help lead her people.

Which meant she didn't get a chance to follow up immediately. She had to make plans, rally her people in recovery, and start the path to their freedom on Rannoch. But as communications between planets and galaxys started to come back online, her first thought was to start making calls. But before she could, she was summoned.

It was to be a gathering of officials and high members of each government, to start rebuilding the councils and plan the next steps in reuniting them all. With the relays under their control again, and the Reapers on their side, the Citadel was on its way back to it's former glory, and rightfully the meeting place of this band of allies.

Maybe the others had heard something. Maybe the Turian Hierarchy had seen Garrus. Maybe the Humans had found Shepard.

Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.

With all her hopes and fears flooding her, she stepped on the Citadel, seeing it her for the first time with her own eyes. She no longer needed the mask or suit to protect herself from the outer environments, but her armor and veil was the same designs and patterns she loved. Short black hair poked from the edges, her hair now longer than how she kept it in the suit. Without the tight envirosuit, there was no need to shave it constantly. Her white eyes blinked, taking in everything that was so strange yet so familiar. The rebuild was going well, and it would be ready to take in refugees soon.

She followed her fellow Admirals from the docks to the meeting place, scanning the crowds for familiar faces. Hugs, tears, and laughter filled the air as she found Liara, Ashley, Wrex, and so many other friends. But when she spotted a group of Turian officials, her heart stopped.

Would he be there? Had she found him again at last?]
